“There were expectations that the digital revolution would reduce the role of the teacher or university professor to the point that children would learn from the computer. This did not happen. We realized that human communication has value. Going to work is not just an obligation. This was stated by Professor Daniel Valchev to bTV.
According to him, the problem is not the lack of information, but the veracity of the information: “Someone has to set the guidelines for what is true and what is a lie.”
The dean of the Faculty of Law at Sofia’s St. Kliment Ohridski University criticized the measures, saying that they were not balanced: “When the university was half-closed, the clubs were operating without restrictions. The government shows a lack of reasonable priorities in the implementation of the measures “.
Professor Valchev gave an example to the French authorities of how they communicate the selection and implementation of measures. He commented on the measures in Bulgaria: “Total lack of predictability, disregard for normal priorities.”
He stressed that leaving children from kindergartens and primary school at home means that their parents must also stay home. Green corridors are another example of inappropriate measures, Valchev said. He criticized the measures relating to gyms and “their gyms.” According to him, the wording of the law is not clear. The lack of clear criteria is the biggest problem, according to the professor.
Regarding the draft constitution, Valchev stressed that it is a political movement made “out of fear.” He joked that parliament “could declare war on an African country.”
The law professor noted that so far four changes have been made to the constitution. According to him, the problems of the judiciary are not constitutional. Valchev criticized the idea of creating an institute to investigate the attorney general.
He concluded by saying that the judiciary has problems that can be solved on a practical level. “We are dealing with big things that seem difficult to us.” According to Valchev, there is a leadership deficit in our country: “The prime minister has become an illegal taxi driver.”
