IMRO is a curse for Bulgaria

In its populist politics, the party is about to destroy basic social systems. His new enemy are child victims of violence.

IN BULGARIA THERE IS a party that has no ideology. She is capable of taking any position if given the opportunity to be part of the power and all the extras that go with it.

She declared herself the successor to the voivodes who fought for the freedom of Macedonia, but today she only exploits her memory and ownership of Macedonian companies. It’s called IMRO.

IMRO has been an important partner in the Borissov government for four years. And he uses his position of extortion and threats to achieve all kinds of crazy goals that destroy the foundations of society. Without even bothering to back the protests against the government of which he is a part.

While IMRO, as a Soviet representative, simply partnered with similar representatives to stop the development of North Macedonia under any circumstances, the damage seemed relatively bearable. In the past 4 years, however, IMRO is doing its best to break the rules imposed by Bulgarian society, which were achieved after 30 difficult years of reforms and changes in people’s minds.

Liberal democracy in Bulgaria has never existed in the normal way. However, at least in the minds of the elites, some modern ideas have emerged, developed and worked.

So it is not good to slap a woman and children, for example. But it is in the development of these ideas that IMRO in the last 4 years has seen the final danger for Bulgaria. Or rather, his last chance to hide the honey-stained hounds of power.

With its crazy demands, the party managed to destroy the pension system to the point that already half of the retirees are equally poor with a pension of BGN 300. A utopia that communism did not achieve, in which egalitarian poverty was worshiped .

The Istanbul Convention against Domestic Violence was the next enemy of the party’s populist militants. Led by the PR of the Minister of War and party leader Krassimir Karakachanov, the party saw in the convention a crazy third sex and a danger for all of becoming gender.

What exactly is gender, it was never clear, but who needed it. Fearing the IMRO would bring down the government, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov stopped ratifying the convention. With the promise of eliminating gender, his texts will enter Bulgarian law and protect women from domestic violence. Well, it didn’t happen, but that’s to be expected.

Just before Christmas, IMRO suddenly discovered a new enemy. And oddly enough, these are the kids. Children who suffer beatings, misery, mental and sexual abuse in their homes. And children who will grow up in this environment thanks to IMRO to become the next abusers.

With a light hand, the party introduced changes to the Child Protection Law that would completely eliminate the current system, no matter how bad it works, for the protection of suffering children. Their right to special and swift protection in case of domestic violence was abolished. Birth parents have more rights, even if they are abusers.

You remember the videos of a mother slapping her 3-year-old girl and then making her kiss her hand. Explaining how evil the father is. This will now be a daily routine and no one can do anything to protect this child.

Remember how Axel, who grew up without parental or other care, brutally raped and killed young Andrea, who also grew up without parents? And this will now be a daily crime, not a system-shaking crime. Because child protection becomes impossible.

Also, to ensure that the child’s spanking at home can return to normal, IMRO further complicates the system. Directing legal texts against non-governmental organizations that provide services to children at risk. If you do not remember what it is, the example is one: the SOS Kinderdorf children’s villages, which are pioneers in modernizing this care and led Bulgaria to the closure of the Dickens orphanages, are now banned.

If, after all, someone still wants to protect children from abusive parents, IMRO threatens to put them in prison in any case. For three years, because it interferes with what happens behind the wall.

To a certain extent, the behavior of the party is understandable. This is a populist organization that lacks a clear ideology. And he is working on everything that can bring a vote from above, so that in the next parliament he can try to be in the honey of the government again. However, when the foundations of society are invaded, in the basic truths that violence is bad, when entry to parliament is put before the children of the country, this party becomes extremely harmful and dangerous.

A real curse for the Bulgarian democracy, that another organization, which lives by blackmailing its political partners, MRF, earned its nickname years ago.
