The identities of the victims, whose bodies were found in an apartment in the center of Varna, have been established. This was made clear during a briefing by Varna District Attorney Krassimir Konov, who was given some more details about the brutal crime that shook the capital from the sea.
The signal for the shooting was received at 10:15. These are two Bulgarian citizens: a man with initials DG, 40 years old, a woman with initials DT, 23 years old, and a Swedish citizen, 41 years old, with initials NL
Firearms were seized from the apartment: combat and gas weapons, converted into combat weapons and many ammunition. A submachine gun and three pistols were found, one was a combat vehicle, with numbers erased, investigators said. The witnesses are being questioned.
The Bulgarian citizen is from Varna, he was criminally charged with vandalism in 2004. Three experts were appointed in the case. The victims were on friendly terms. The tenant is a Bulgarian citizen.
Tomorrow there will be an autopsy. It will answer how many shots the victims died with.
“We cannot say if the perpetrator is a stranger or has left the apartment. Let the expertise come out. We have not yet spoken with the owners of the apartment. It has been rented. The investigation continues,” said the prosecutor.
