“Come and donate blood plasma, from now on it’s up to us as a society to be in solidarity and with empathy.” This was said by Dani Kanazireva in front of the camera Plovdiv24.bg.
“The good news is that currently 68 people have received blood plasma. The donation has a separate entry, there is no mixing of flows, there is a device, another is expected to be donated by Christmas,” Kanazireva explained.
The regional governor visited the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology in Plovdiv, and a few minutes ago, in front of the building, he gave a short press conference together with the director of the center, Dr. Sonya Dzhevizova.
The topic – the donation of blood plasma, carried out so far at the center, as well as information on the state aid granted for the purchase of equipment and consumables, including a second device.
“Convalescent plasma is not a panacea, it cannot be relied upon alone. It is a complex disease and it is an element of treatment. The hardest to find are group AB donors, who are only seven percent. Next up group is B. Most patients are A and 0. It is not necessary to donate exactly for a certain blood group for the patient they want to help, ”explained Dr. Dzhevizova.
