A wave of bad weather hit northern and central Italy. Heavy rains in the lowlands and heavy snowfalls in the mountains caused several rivers to overflow.

In Rome, bad weather caused the river Tiber to rise, flooding several streets and bike lanes. Rivers also overflowed in the northeast region of Veneto.
Due to heavy snowfall in the mountainous regions of northern Italy, the road through the Brenner Pass, connecting Austria and Italy, was closed.

The danger of avalanches increases in the Dolomites and South Tyrol. In the Alps, the snow cover reached 4 meters. People find it difficult to find their houses and cars.

Strong winds also caused large waves in the Adriatic Sea, reaching six meters in places on the Croatian coast.
Heavy snowfalls are coming in 7 districts of our country
Rains are expected in most of the country on December 8, and during the day they will gradually begin to stop, at the latest in the northeast regions.
The yellow code has been announced for snowfall in 7 districts of northern and western Bulgaria, and for rain and snow precipitation in 5 districts of northeast Bulgaria.
Heavy snow will fall in the districts of Vratsa, Montana, Sofia, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse. In these areas it will snow, on its flat part a layer of snow will form – between 5 and 10 cm, in mountainous areas up to 15-20 cm.
It will rain and snow in the districts of Targovishte, Razgrad, Silistra, Shumen and Dobrich. In these areas the precipitation will be rain and the amounts are expected to be between 25 and 30 l / m2. As it cools, the rain will mix with the snow.
The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers who are about to travel with cars with adequate tires, to drive at a reasonable speed and with greater attention, to respect the required distance and not to overtake risky.
Blocking the traffic of vehicles that are not prepared for winter conditions makes it difficult for other drivers to circulate and for the snowplows.
The district road administrations are monitoring the meteorological forecasts by regions and will carry out the treatment of the pavement.
