IMRO to Macedonian politicians: It won’t happen!

[ad_1]

With this wrong policy, you are hurting the people, not Bulgaria and not the EU. Transactions here are inadmissible. This is stated in a statement by IMRO deputies, the party’s press center announced. The reason is “the unstoppable language of hatred, cleverly incited by Skopje political circles.”

This is what is said more in the position of the Patriots:

This language reached such a point that on Friday the already closed topic of Samuel was opened, with which the historians of the Republic of North Macedonia failed in the work of the joint commission on historical issues.

With his hypocritical behavior, he has only shown one thing: “While the political leadership in Skopje shakes hands with one hand, the other has clenched into a hidden fist,” the deputies’ statement said.

We remind you that a few days ago the IMRO deputies read another statement in the National Assembly, in which they expressed precisely and clearly what guarantees they will insist on to reopen the issue of RS Macedonia’s membership of the EU. And for us, the only guarantee for the implementation of the Friendship Treaty is the assumption of specific legally binding commitments by Skopje in the form of an annex to the treaty based on the Framework Position of the Bulgarian Parliament of October 2019.

“Otherwise, Bulgaria cannot agree to start negotiations for RSM’s accession to the common EU family, because it is contrary to our national interests. We are convinced that there is no external force capable of exerting pressure to force any Bulgarian government to sacrifice our centuries-old national interests in Macedonia, “stressed the voivodes at the time.

Here is the full text of today’s statement:

Once again, the Skopje part of the joint commission on historical issues openly sabotaged the work of the commission. Furthermore, the people of Skopje even withdrew from the agreements already reached and again began to discuss who was King Samuel. IMRO has long warned that Skopje does not want to finalize even the smallest agreement reached.

This comes in the context of a serious escalation of hate speech in the Republic of North Macedonia. In the last few weeks alone, a series of provocations have taken place on social media, the Bulgarian flag has been lit, direct insults have been launched against the Bulgarian Foreign Minister, a hysterical tone has been set in Skopje and circles. Nationalists in Serbia have been quick to invite.

Skopje officials say they are taking action, but this is a side issue. The first is different: the Bulgarian veto served as an infallible litmus test for the actual state of society in Macedonia. The veto exposed all the horrible layers of Southern propaganda that had been planted for decades. No, this propaganda cannot and should not be legitimized in the European Union. It has no place in the EU.

The good news is, in the meantime, Zaev said some real things. Buckovski, even more. And they deserve encouragement. But while Skopje’s political leadership shakes hands with one hand, the other is clenched into a hidden fist.

So it’s time to say: it won’t happen, brothers! By sabotaging the dialogue with Bulgaria, you are only further sabotaging Skopje’s chances of becoming part of the European Union one day. This will not harm Bulgaria or the EU, it will harm the people of Macedonia. A nation that is guilty of nothing!

One of the most active against the Bulgarian position turned out to be precisely the nostalgic and Russophile circles: on both sides of the border, small parties with a Stalinist bias opposed the position defended by the Bulgarian patriots. This clearly shows how stupid the benchmark is that, with its firm position, Bulgaria defended some Russian interests. Defenders of the parrot of European values are better considering whether Europe benefits from a country like North Macedonia in their ranks. And it is also good to think about what the true European values are.

Zaev now says that the elections in Sofia should have taken place. And you are wrong. Because Bulgarian politicians are united in their position. Whoever wins the elections will maintain a line: defend historical truth and justice.

The few Sosoid speakers who philosophize about Macedonia in our country are nothing more than an extreme sect that is far from unanimous Bulgarian society. And even further from the truth.

And if someone in Bulgaria succumbs to external pressure, the people themselves will despise him. Because the Bulgarians have always supported and will continue to support their Macedonian brothers on the road to the European Union and on the road to even closer integration into NATO. But this support is not unconditional.

That is why the only path in front of Skopje today is the path of sobriety, not cunning. Cunning will not happen. The EU is not a place to cheat. As long as there is cunning, there will be a veto.

And we at IMRO insist that we will not allow the withdrawal of the firm position occupied by Bulgaria. Transactions are not allowed here!
