Snowstorms and cooling are expected soon in Bulgaria, Meteo Balkans meteorologists reported. A reference to the latest regional model updates shows that the upcoming new cooling will create the conditions for snowfall in northwestern and central Bulgaria. This is what meteorologists say: We expect heavy snowfall over the mountain ranges of western and southern Bulgaria, and north of the Balkans and on the Danube plain, according to the models, the projected snow cover will exceed 5-10 cm .
With high resolution, we see a forecast of the expected snow cover over northwestern Bulgaria. According to the analysis of the map, the snow cover will accumulate over the high parts with an altitude of 220-240 meters.
Rains are expected in the extreme southern regions of the country, where electrical storms are possible. A lot of rain will fall on the Rhodopes and northern Greece, and later on December 8 and on the northeast and east of Bulgaria.
