Sanctioned a store of the “Jumbo” chain in Plovdiv for flagrant violation of anti-epidemic measures, reported Radio Attention – Governor of the Plovdiv district, Dani Kanazireva. The Regional Crisis Headquarters has received a series of signs of non-compliance with the measures and admission of a large number of visitors. Many people were also outraged on social media and posted photos.

“What happened yesterday in one of the Jumbo chain stores in Plovdiv is unacceptable. There is a clear and concrete decision from the Regional Crisis Headquarters on the number of visitors in each food and non-food store in Plovdiv and the region. It is evident from all the signs and photos on the social network that the number of visitors was not controlled and the decision of the Regional Headquarters was flagrantly violated, “Kanazireva said.

He added that with an established number of visitors – 150, it is clear that there are much more and this number is exceeded, as well as no anti-epidemic measures are observed.

Therefore, I will ask the RHI to draw up the minutes and impose a sanction, and in case of another infraction to close the store. I agree with the opinion expressed by the majority of citizens that the measures cannot be observed by some: closing restaurants and many other businesses and areas, and at the same time having similar cases in stores. This leads to the risk that the measures will not lead to the desired result, “Kanazireva added.

According to her, inspections continue today, and each store must comply with the order of the Minister of Health and the decisions of the Headquarters on the number of visitors.

The governor explained that this morning she had a conversation with the manager of the Jumbo store and is confident that measures will be taken and visitors will be reduced inside the store according to the decision of the Headquarters.
