Ludogorets beat Slavia 2-0 at Ovcha Kupel and recorded significant success in the battle for the championship title.

Razgrad is now only in first place in the standings with 32 points, second is Loko Plovdiv with 30 points, but two games more than the “greens”, third is CSKA with 27. Slavia stands firm at the bottom of the standings with only 9 points.

The goals of the match were scored by Kesheriu (65) and Santana (82). However, it should be noted that Kesheryu’s goal was more than controversial after Verdon committed a brutal foul against Bengyuzov in the Slavia penalty area, where the ball went to Kesheryu’s head and he stretched the net.

The ‘whites’ players barely submitted, but referee Dagromir Draganov never changed his decision, aiming for the center.

This was Ludogorets’ first victory over Slavia in Sofia on September 9, 2017.

The first half was more than weak, with both teams mainly relying on a solid battle in midfield, and goal positions were rare.

Still, Ludogorets could have scored twice, but Kiril Despodov from a free kick to the crossbar and Cowley from a volley volley at the hands of Vutsov.

In the second half, Kesheryu appeared in a game for Ludogorets and this definitely moved the game of the guests. Consecutively, Despodov and Chibota failed to score.

This led to the 65th minute, when the guests scored a tremendously controversial and scandalous goal. On a cross from a corner, Claudiu Kesheriu stretched Vutsov’s net, but before that, Verdon obviously pushed Bengyuzov with his hand, but to referee’s surprise Dragomir Draganov missed nothing and pointed to the center.

The Slavia players were barely subdued, but the referees never changed their verdict and the “whites” were definitely hurt. This goal gave peace to the “greens” and until the end they controlled the game.

In the 82nd minute, Santana shot from afar, the ball deflected into Bengyuzov’s body, after which Vutsov comically dropped it and conceded a ridiculous goal on his 0: 2 goal. Ultimately, Ludogorets took the victory and climbed to the top of the rankings.
