The match was marked by many errors by both teams. Tottenham did not play well, especially in the first half, but still turned around and then took the lead again, although in the second half the game was not very fast either. Goalkeeper Joe Hart can also be blamed for two of LASK’s goals, and he could have stepped in much more convincingly. With this draw, José Mourinho’s former students remain in second place in the group with an asset of 10 points and two behind the leader Antwerp, who defeated the Bulgarian champion Ludogorets and qualifies for the 1/16 finals. LASK remains third with 7 points and has a chance of occupying second place. In his last game he visits Ludogorets, while Tottenham hosts Antwerp.

The hosts started the game strong and controlled the initiative in the first minutes of the game.
The first goal situation came at the expense of the Austrians, when in the fourth minute Rene Renner had the opportunity to shoot in the penalty area, but a Tottenham player blocked the shot.
Two minutes later, Johannes Egestein received the ball in front of the penalty area and fired a powerful shot that rebounded off goalkeeper Joe Hart’s left post.
LASK remained the most dangerous team and in the 22nd minute Egestein shot again at the spurs’ door, but this time without problems for Hart.
Exactly after half an hour of play, the hosts once again had a clear situation to score. Rene Renner made an excellent double pass to Egestein and the midfielder was carried to the left in the penalty area, finding himself alone against the goalkeeper. However, Renner’s shot was parried by Hart.
Then, within two minutes, the guests had the opportunity to shoot at LASK’s gate twice from a direct free kick. After the first attempt, the ball bounced off the hand of a host player and a second free kick was awarded. It was played by Gareth Bale, but Wesses fired at the wall again. A new addition to the attacker followed, which was also blocked.
LASK’s best game came three minutes before the end of the first half. Matt Doherty slipped and fumbled in the home team half. A counterattack by Thomas Goininger down the left wing followed. He combined with Peter Mihorl on the inside of the field, who shot from about 27, 28 meters and surprised Hart. The ball also hit the goalkeeper and made it even more difficult, then tangled in his lower left corner – 1: 0.

In the second minute of added time in the first half, however, the “spurs” tied. Lucas Moura broke well from the left and crossed to the penalty spot, where Tangi Ndombele shot, but the ball bounced off Andrés Andrade’s hand and the referee awarded a penalty. It was played by Gareth Bale, who was unmistakable – 1: 1.

The second half started several attacks for both teams, which, however, posed no danger in front of either gate.
In the 56th minute, however, Tottenham made a complete turn. Mads Emil Madsen made a mistake in the middle and this allowed Ndombele to steal the ball, and immediately afterwards he launched an excellent pass to Hyun-Min Son. The Korean advanced in the center, entered the penalty area from the right and with a good shot the goalkeeper sent the ball to his far corner for 1: 2.

The Spurs were close to a third goal in the 64th minute. Then Bale e Son escaped in the middle of LASK, as the Welshman entered the penalty area only against the goalkeeper, but decided to go through Son, and the pass from the striker went behind his teammate and thus ruined the great opportunity for his team.
Twenty minutes before the end of the game, after a long attack by the hosts, the ball reached reserve Mamadou Karamoko on the edge of the penalty area, who lay, but just beyond Hart’s gate.
In the 84th minute, however, the hosts surprised Tottenham by equalizing. Andrés Andrade advanced with a pass from Johannes Egestein from the left. The forward advanced and from the edge of the penalty area poisoned a shot in the near corner of Hart, who again did not intervene in the best way and the ball ended in his net 2: 2.
However, just two minutes later, the Spurs took the lead again. After a long pass into the penalty area, substitute Stephen Bergwein was sent into the penalty area by Philip Weissinger and the referee awarded a penalty. Dele Ali, who also appeared in the second half, acted exactly and the “spurs” took the lead again.

However, that was not all of the meeting. In the third of four added minutes, LASK tied again. Andrade combined with Mamadou Karamoko, who shot excellently from 23.24 meters and left no chances for Joe Hart, sending the ball into his upper left corner for 3: 3, which turned out to be the end result.
