Borissov, with very strong words, said what would happen in the remaining 4 months until the end of the term

This was written by Prime Minister and GERB leader Boyko Borisov on the social network “Facebook” on the occasion of the party’s 14th birthday.

“Dear friends and colleagues, I want to take a moment at this difficult time to congratulate the 14th birthday of the GERB party! The pandemic put not only the state to the test, but all of our work as well.

That is why I thank you that despite the difficulties, do not give up and continue to be with people every day and working tirelessly. Then we must continue. I don’t want anyone to be denied assistance, because we all need humanity in these difficult times. This has always set us apart from our opponents.

I never claimed to be without sin. We have set high moral standards and goals in the party and everyone who cannot or does not want to be at this level is leaving. Over the years, we parted ways with iconic party figures.

Some of these decisions were not easy, but wise. We cannot compromise our principles. Do I hear the insults directed at the party, you and me? I hear. Are they worth commenting? No. These blasphemies are baseless and ugly, but people are wise and see the results of our daily work.

The winner is the one who prepares, not the one who trusts that the opponent is weak. Let’s keep strengthening our own team. The situation in the country and in the world is quite complicated and this only increases expectations towards us. That is why we need to be better, more motivated, offer solutions, work.

The remaining 4 months until the end of the mandate will be key in the fight against the pandemic.

With our socio-economic measures we must preserve the livelihood of the people, and with the advent of the vaccine we must begin the counterattack in this prolonged war for every human life. With all my responsibility, I guarantee that everything that depends on the government, we will do it!

Then let the citizens decide. For us, power is not and never will be an end in itself. Regardless of the outcome of the vote, the state will be in good shape. No bankrupt banks, no record budget deficit, no suspended EU funds, no blocked energy projects and international isolation.

And with membership of the Banking Union, in the Eurozone waiting room, with stable finances, with a low deficit and external debt and with a high assessment of its fiscal policy by all the most authorized international rating agencies.
