The incident occurred at noon on one of the busiest boulevards in the city. According to initial information, the woman was crossing the boulevard on a sidewalk when a car traveling in the left lane collided with her. The woman was thrown almost 30 meters away and died on the spot.
The driver, a 61-year-old man, tested negative for alcohol, police said. It is clarified if the high speed was the cause of the accident.
