Barça walked down the Danube for success

Barcelona achieved their fifth consecutive victory in Group G of the Champions League, after apparently easily beating Ferencvaros 3: 0 with ease. The culés decided everything in Budapest in the first part, in which they scored all three goals.

Antoine Griezmann (14), Martin Braithwaite (20) and Usman Demebele (28 from penalties) showed that they are in great shape with good goals. Nor was the absence of Lionel Messi felt, who was left out of the group on Barça’s second consecutive visit to the tournament.

Thus, with a total of 15 points, Barcelona is at the top of the table before hosting Juventus next week. Turin has 12 points, while Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros currently have 1.

Barcelona took control of the game from the first minute and decided everything before the break. Still, Martin Braithwaite made a great pass in the 5th minute, when he was left alone in front of the hosts’ goalkeeper, but failed to overcome it.

In 14, Antoine Griezmann did not stop punishing the Hungarians. The Catalans built a quick attack with a touch, Alba crossed from the left wing and the Frenchman on a close crossbar managed to hit the ball in the door for 1: 0.

The second goal was scored from the left wing. In the 20th minute, Dembélé broke down the wing, crossed sharply, and Braithwaite from a difficult position managed to deflect the ball into the far corner for 2-0. It was a goal in the third consecutive game for the Dane and the third overall in the Champions League.

Soon after, Braithwaite scored a third goal. The striker was brought down by Frimpong in the Ferencvaros penalty area. Usman Dembele was undeterred from the penalty spot and scored the 3: 0 score.

At the end of the half, Braithwaite missed another great situation, firing past the gate from a clear position.

After the break, Ronald Koeman’s men controlled the events, but the Hungarians also had some chances after the restart. For Barça, the clearest situation opened up for Trincao in the 75th minute, when he doubled over the crossbar.
