A great family tragedy took place in the center of Plovdiv, where a man shot his brother with a hunting rifle and then drew his bullet. All of this happened in front of his sick mother. The incident occurred today around 4.15 pm in an apartment in the city center. The cause of the double death was a property dispute between the brothers.
A relative of the family gave the signal. Two ambulances immediately arrived, followed by many policemen.
This afternoon, one of the Petko brothers, 61, went to their mother’s house. There was the younger brother Elijah. The two fought fiercely over the apartment the old woman lived in. The dispute heated up and turned into a raging scandal. The old man then pulled out a shotgun and shot his brother in front of his sick mother. Then he pointed his nose at himself and committed suicide.
Police arrived at the scene of the incident, where the bloody tragedy occurred, and the area was cordoned off. Before that, two ambulances arrived. It remains to be seen whether the rifle with which the crime was committed is legal, forensic scientists explained. According to them, this is a typical domestic murder.
Neighbors are shocked by the brutal fratricide. “They were a normal family, but the dispute over the property led to this bloody tragedy,” said the neighbor. According to them, the brothers were not people in conflict. However, they had friction between them.
