The Ministry of Health must develop a National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 before Thursday, and the Council of Ministers must review and approve the plan on December 9. This was announced today at a press conference by Health Minister Kostadin Angelov.

The first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine should arrive in the country by the end of the year and the vaccination itself may begin one week after delivery. Initially, people in high-risk groups will be immunized. “At the beginning of the vaccination, the general practitioners will not be involved, the hospital doctors will be involved,” explained the Minister of Health.

Yes, by the end of this week, several special freezers must be delivered to store the Pfizer vaccine, as it must be stored above -70 degrees Celsius.

The press conference at the Council of Ministers began with the presentation of the Bulgarian National Pandemic Preparedness Plan, which was reviewed and approved at today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers. and the Chief of State Health Inspectors, Prof. Angel Kunchev.
