France must hand over Marseille to Armenia if the Armenians are so eager to create a state. This was stated by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, quoted by “Daily Sabah”.
Last week, the French Senate passed a resolution asking the government to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent republic. However, Nagorno-Karabakh is an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan.
“What does the French Senate have to do with our cause?” “If they want so much, they can give Marseille to the Armenians to create a state,” said the Azerbaijani leader. France supports Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, although it is a member of the Minsk Group, established in 1992 by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
