The Speaker of the Serbian Parliament Ivica dacic assessed that the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, is not politically illiterate and knows that his recent statements on Bulgaria are not true, but needs Sofia’s consent to start talks on EU membership, Tanjug reported.
Another question is how far Zaev will go in this, Dacic said on a Pink TV show last night. He reacted to Zaev’s statement that Yugoslavia was the culprit for Macedonian partition of Bulgaria and that there was a Bulgarian administration in Macedonia during WWII.
“Do not declare the Bulgarian occupation as an administration. The Bulgarians were on the side of Hitler’s Nazi Germany and we in the south know how serious the Bulgarian crimes were. With this they (the Macedonians) spit on their anti-fascist struggle. Here, Yugoslavia it’s gone, what are you waiting for. If you wait. they wanted to cuddle so much that they wouldn’t wait until 2020, “Dacic was quoted as saying.
He added that he did not want anyone to think that he felt sorry for Yugoslavia, which he said he loved, but said that the day it was created was an unfortunate day for the Serbian people.
