The health authorities have demanded an almost total blockade of the state

Due to the high morbidity, the Minister of Health proposed the closure of restaurants, kindergartens and nurseries, schools, restaurant halls, malls and all stores that do not offer basic needs. Pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants that prepare food for the home, banks and post offices will remain open. The hours of the green corridors remain the same at the moment, no change in public transport is planned.

All measures will be voted on sector by sector at tomorrow’s meeting of the Council of Ministers. Thus, for many companies and industries, the last hours in which they may attempt to change the proposed restrictions are currently running.

A record number of people were cured and died of COVID-19 in one day

The Restaurant Association reacted harshly to the proposed measures. The industry has already sent an official letter to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, urging a series of compromises. The company warns that if all the restaurants close again, there will be massive bankruptcies and they will insist on financial support decisions. The restorers’ proposals are that the state take 80% of employee salaries, reschedule its obligations to the budget, have a moratorium on loan installments. The Hoteliers Association also demanded financial compensation for the industry and its employees last night.
