The position of Director of Intellectual Property Protection is new for A1 Bulgaria and will allow Yavor Kolev to take care of the copyright protection of the company’s music and television content. It also includes the copyright of the sports organizations that A1 owns for the country, such as LaLiga, Serie A, UEFA Champions League, NHL, UFC, ATP, National Basketball League and others.

Yavor Kolev joined A1 after a long and successful career in the Interior Ministry system, which he left in August this year. In the 2019-2020 period, he held the position of National Cybersecurity Coordinator and Secretary of the Cybersecurity Council in the Council of Ministers. He has completed numerous specializations in cybercrime, electronic evidence, and international law enforcement cooperation. He is the author of methodologies for investigating copyright offenses in the field of telecommunications and software piracy and for investigating and prosecuting the perpetrators of cybercrimes.

In the period 2006-2020, under his leadership, it is the 24/7 national contact point for high-tech crimes in the Council of Europe, as well as the single point of contact for Bulgarian law enforcement agencies. with the most popular social networks. During his career at the Ministry of the Interior, he has received numerous awards for his work and achievements in the fight against organized crime and cybercrime.
