Real Madrid, champion of Spain, continues its errant performance in the Spanish elite, after the “kings” recorded a draw – 1: 1, during their visit to Villarreal at the “Estadio de La Cerámica”. The “real club” match got off to a magnificent start after Mariano Díaz opened the scoring in the second minute, but Gerard Moreno from a penalty shot in the 75th minute divided the points between the two teams. Real broke into the hosts’ door from the first minute and after two, Madrid opened the scoring. Danny Carvajal crossed the ball to the right and Mariano hit Asenjo with his head. The hosts claimed to play with hand and ambush, as the side referee raised his flag in the course of the attack, then lowered it to second and there was great confusion from “La Ceramica”, but in the end the goal was counted.
The match continued as well, as both teams embarked on a fierce midfield fight. In the 20th minute, Gerard Moreno crossed and Danny Parejo headed over the crossbar. Five minutes later Manu Trigeros found a center in the Real field, but his shot was blocked after Varane’s intervention.
The second part of “La Cerámica” initially saw a danger for Villarreal, caused by chaos in the defense of Real. The guests did not skillfully pass the ball, and Moreno stole and shot, but the ball went through the side post of Thibaut Courtois. In the 1970s, the “yellow submarine” made another big mistake. Samu Chuquuese scooped the ball into the penalty area for Parejo, who fired immediately with an inside shot, but did so inaccurately despite his frontal position.
Villarreal’s speed paid off a quarter of an hour before the end. Samu Chuquuese got behind the Real defense, and goalkeeper Courtois knocked him to the ground and there was a clear contact that led Hernández Hernández to signal the white point. Behind the ball was Gerard Moreno, who shot hard with his left foot in the lower right corner of Courtois and tied the score.
In the 82nd minute Modric and Kroos continued their strange actions on the field. The two made a mistake in front of the Real field on the play, and Ibora took the ball, but then Rafael Varane’s intervention deprived Real of a second goal in their goal after a few minutes. In added time, Takefuse Cubo, hired by Real Madrid at Villarreal, could have made a complete turn, but his shot was stopped by Courtois.
