According to the official results published on the site, Biden won the presidential race in the state with 12,670 votes. The Democrat received a total of 2,474,507 votes, while Republican Donald Trump voted 2,461,837.
This is yet another blow to President Donald Trump’s desperate efforts to reverse the results of the November 3 election, Reuters reports. Georgia has been a Republican stronghold for many years. Joe Biden received 306 electoral votes, while Trump, 232. Officially, the Democrat will take office in January 2021.
