The citizens of Sozopol are unhappy with the construction of a protection dam by the concessionaire of the central beach in the resort town. For the second year in a row, they insist that the strip remain in its natural state.
Just a few days ago, the concessionaire began building a sand dam on the pretext that waves were ripping up the beach in the winter. However, the locals are categorical: they do not accept the claim that excavators work does not include excavation work and sand is not excavated. People wonder how the dike will protect the beach from the waves, since the waves form the strip of sand. A civil petition has also been collected, under which more than 900 people have put their names.
Sozopol Municipality Mayor Tihomir Yanakiev told Nova TV that he had ordered the concessionaire in writing to stop all excavations on the beach.
