The Prime Minister pointed out that our country has a clear and coherent position on the European budget, accepting that the rule of law is so important that it is linked to European funds. Regarding European coordination in response to the pandemic, Prime Minister Borissov welcomed the proposal to build a European Health Union, which would allow the EU to be better prepared for future health crises.

Prime Minister Borissov also stressed the common approach of European leaders and the EC on vaccines, which will provide European citizens with rapid access to a sufficient number of safe and free vaccines for voluntary use. “All together, in solidarity, we are not only participating in the payment of the vaccines, but also in how to distribute them fairly as quickly as possible,” Prime Minister Borissov said, adding that talks are underway to that our country is ready if freezers are needed in which the vaccine can be stored at a very low temperature.

Prime Minister Borissov paid special attention to compliance with measures against the epidemic. “If we are strict and disciplined, we can overcome this crisis in the easiest way possible,” the Bulgarian prime minister was adamant.
