The SRS is the largest prosecutor’s office in the country. Almost all of Zartova’s professional career has passed there. She is also a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sofia.
Among the top priorities Zartova noted is reducing the number of old cases that last more than 3 years. Currently there are about 250. According to her, however, the most important thing is to have a calm work environment for the magistrates.
He said he planned to reduce the number of his deputies from five to four because he learned last year that the number was sufficient. Currently, only two of the Deputy District Attorney positions are filled.
