Prime Minister Boyko Borissov promised that if the economy does well next year, employees of the Interior Ministry will receive additional compensation.
According to him, in no case should social groups oppose others. Borissov commented that GERB is waiving universal child benefits due to public disapproval of the measure.
He commented on the subject:
“We highly appreciate the work of the Bulgarian employees in the Interior Ministry, that’s why – 15% increase in salaries. Yes, they are not 30%, as in some of the other organizations, but first – there were very low salaries, They weren’t increased for years, that’s why we made it summer for them.
Everywhere we were criticized that the children of wealthy parents will also receive these allocations of BGN 40. So we went back to the old version, I think it’s fair and accurate and it has nothing to do with the police, nothing to do with the police, so don’t confuse the two, because first, it’s not fair, second, it’s not beautiful “.
Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev also denied any opposition, explaining:
“What came out in the media that there is some opposition between receiving a 15 percent increase in salaries for Interior Ministry employees and parents of children receiving child benefits is not true.
The necessary resources to increase salaries in the Interior Ministry system were provided by the restructuring of expenses and transfers charged to the central budget ”.
