Chaos through the “green corridors” for shopping

Chaos and tension the first day with new buying rules for adults.

As of today, the “green corridors” restrictions are in force for those over 65, which means that between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. in stores, customers under that age will not be allowed to make purchases.

Due to the new order from the Minister of Health, there was confusion and misunderstandings in pharmacies and grocery stores about who can buy and when. There was also tension.

BTV viewers in Ruse posted photos from 4 p.m., showing people waiting in line to be admitted to the store.

In pharmacies, three in the afternoon are reserved for people over 65 years of age. But here the “green corridor” of the morning is preserved, that is, the schedule between 08:00 and 10:00.

A time change for the “green corridor” caused tension between customers and security guards.

Identity documents were also requested at the entrance of the stores.

In Vratsa, the order totally confused people over 65, who were in a rush to shop in the already canceled green corridor from 8 to 10 in the morning.

Some offer a different regimen for smaller cities.

“In the other Bulgaria with the big cities, Sofia, Plovdiv, there is an influx, but here in these small cities there is no influx, I do not see the sense of this nonsense that invents them. Today one thing, tomorrow another, “says a man from Vratsa.

Pharmacists are also confused and some are pushing for the bans to be lifted.

“For the points of sale, yes, but for the pharmacies, everyone needs at any time of the day. At this point, someone will need something urgent and will be 25 years old. That is why I constantly attend to people, keeping their distance and entering one by one, ”said Rumyana Jeleva, a pharmacy owner.

Even with a vaccine, we will have to follow measures against the epidemic for at least another two to three years, immunologists say. And yet the virus is now easier to spread, but less dangerous, experts add.

Meanwhile, our country once again registered more than 4,200 new infections in 24 hours. Almost 5,000 patients are being treated in the hospital and the victims of the virus have already exceeded 2,000 people.
