Hungary, which is a member of the EU, cannot wait six months for the American vaccine, because the life of Hungarian citizens is ahead of all European agreements! But this is Hungary, which always invokes its residual sovereignty when it comes to the national interest!
Some time ago, I allowed myself to ask at least the BSP Parliamentary Group to react to this problem and offer to buy ready-made vaccines from Russia or China. I hoped our leaders would realize that socialism is a deeply humanistic ideology, at the center of which is human life, love for man, suffering because of his pain and destiny, solidarity with his difficulties. and penalties. He hoped that truly responsible solutions would be sought to face the serious crisis, and not statements that caress the ear of the opposition, but that do not solve anything.
And so. I’ll ask again: why can’t Bulgaria buy a vaccine from Russia? Also, vaccination is not mandatory, and who does not want to – should not be vaccinated. Of course, in half a year, when the American vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine is ready, Bulgaria will also buy from them. However, the vaccine is needed now! And it is much more necessary than new fighter jets or new warships …
However, do I not understand the fear of being asked this question? To publicly pressure the government?
Or is Bulgaria so dependent that it can’t even buy a vaccine from Russia? So what kind of freedom and democracy are we talking about?
