President Rumen Radev’s salary exceeds BGN 15,000 with a seniority bonus, following the increase in the country’s average salary. BGN 4,803 is already the minimum salary for a deputy since September, as the increase compared to June is BGN 500. This is clear from the INE data on the average salary.

The president of the National Assembly, Tsveta Karayancheva, and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, receive 50% more than the deputies: 7,204 BGN. With the seniority supplement, Borissov’s monthly salary exceeds BGN 10,000. The ministers will now receive almost BGN 6,245.

The compensation of the deputies is equal to three times the average of the state administration for the last month of each quarter, which for September is BGN 1,601, but the deputies also receive 15% for participation in a commission, which is applied to each from them. They also have a 1% supplement for each year of service. Therefore, for a parliamentarian with 20 years of experience, like most parliamentarians, the salary is almost BGN 6,500.
