Expected results: Trump defeats rival Biden in Alaska

US President Donald Trump defeated his Democratic rival Joe Biden in Alaska, according to a forecast by marketing company Edison Research, cited by Reuters.

Republican Trump has yet to admit defeat in the presidential election, four days after Edison Research announced that Democrat Biden had won more than the 270 electoral votes he needed to enter the White House. With three electoral votes in Alaska, Trump will not be able to change the outcome of the November 3 vote, Reuters reported.

However, Trump’s Republican Party is closing in on the Senate majority with one more vote, AFP reported.

Alaska’s senatorial candidate, Republican Dan Sullivan, was easily reelected. He received more than 57 percent of the vote, according to CNN and NBC.

Republicans now have 50 seats in the Senate versus 48 seats for Democrats. Two more seats remain to be distributed during the January 5 by-election in the conservative state of Georgia.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump posted a curious tweet that reads: “Ballot corruption will be revealed tonight at 9:00 am on Fox News!”
