A favorite teacher of the students of the Professional School of Tourism “Dr. Vasil Beron” in Veliko Tarnovo has lost the battle with COVID-19. 54-year-old English teacher Toni Manchev died late last week, “24 Chasa” learned.

He developed bilateral bronchopneumonia as a result of a covid infection. He was admitted to hospital for treatment, but his condition worsened and he died despite the best efforts of doctors, Manchev’s colleagues said.

The tragic news shocked the vocational school staff and graduates.

“Our favorite teacher left us. He always saw us having fun. With him the classes were different and more interesting. He told us about his adventures and the classes with him were one of our best moments in school. We, 9B always remember you! We will do everything what you told us, we will follow the rules as you wish! We will miss Mr. Toni Manchev very much! Rest in peace !!! “wrote in the social network Ivetka Hristova.

PGT student television posted on Facebook a commemorative film with videos and photos with the teacher, who was also a class teacher.

This is the first case of a deceased educator with COVID-19 in the Veliko Tarnovo region.
