Professor Naumova pointed out a big mistake that people make en masse as prevention against COVID-19

We should not think about our immune system only when there is a pandemic, but we should think about it throughout our conscious lives.

This was stated in an interview by Prof. Dr. Elisaveta Naumova, National Consultant in Clinical Immunology.

“Herd immunity is obtained mainly when there is a vaccine against a disease. If more than 80% of the population is vaccinated, that immunity is created,” said Professor Elisaveta Naumova.

According to her, there is no evidence that if we suffer COVID-19 en masse, we will create herd immunity. The WHO has also stated that such a thing is not expected to happen just from spontaneous illness.

Few effective immunomodulators are known. However, they should be used only by specialists and only when it is known that there is a deficiency in some parts of the immune system, explained the consultant in clinical immunology.

According to Professor Naumova, there is an indiscriminate intake of food supplements for the immune system by humans.

“Any food supplement or medicine that is taken indiscriminately without knowing that the body needs it is more harmful than useful. Children come to us who receive all kinds of supplements and instead of helping, they unblock other unwanted processes,” Naumova explained.
She urges not to take food supplements and immunomodulators, which are not known in advance that the body needs.
