Stories that end in death have become more common in recent days. One of them is the death of a 63-year-old man. This Saturday Irena lost her husband and Boyan lost her father.
“It’s a ridiculous story.” What happened is absurd and cost my father his life, “Boyan told 120 Minutes.
“He had an antigen test for coronavirus on Monday. There were no symptoms, just a slight runny nose. The test came back positive, he started to worry, his blood went up and got worse. We decided to do a PCR test on Tuesday, which turned out be negative, but he didn’t get it, “Boyan said.
“On Tuesday at noon I began to see speech problems, I was doing some movements, I was lying down and at night I called a team to examine him. The ambulance arrived at night, the doctor who came said it was for antidepressants”, Irena said.
“I don’t know what those ambulance specialists are who can’t tell a stroke from depression,” Boyan added.
According to him, according to the ambulance doctor, his father refused to receive treatment.
“The doctor said there were more emergencies with the coronavirus and he left,” said Irena, who noted that her husband had not been examined, although she had asked.
On Wednesday morning, her husband got worse and fell into bed. “I started calling the ambulance again. I called private ambulances, they told us that we should go to the Emergency Service again, that they should organize things,” said Irena.
“The paramedics came, they did another test, they saw that it was not a coronavirus. He was in an unsuitable condition, “Irena added.
Paramedics rushed her husband to Pirogov but refused to admit him there because there was no COVID-19 and their beds were only for coronavirus patients, her son added.
“We go to the Second City and there a doctor says they can’t admit him,” says Irena.
A new transport followed and her husband was admitted to First City Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage. Unfortunately, he died a little later.
Emergency spokeswoman Katya Sungarska said “120 minutes that an emergency investigation into the case is underway. The director of the Second City Hospital, Associate Professor Stefan Uzunov, promised to investigate the case and promised more information next And the director of Pirogov, Prof. Baltov, told bTV that the Neurology Clinic has been closed for 14 days, and that the coronavirus staff and doctors returned to work on November 11.
