If all Bulgarians start to follow the measures in the country, we will drop to 500 cases of infection per day. This was stated by the mathematician of the National Operational Headquarters Prof. Nikolay Vitanov in the program “Drive straight” on Nova TV.
According to him, at the moment many people do not follow the measures and this is the reason why there are so many cases of contagion. Vitanov also stressed that the “optimistic scenario” he envisioned in the spring no longer exists.
“4,000 cases a day means that RHIs already have great difficulty monitoring contact persons and therefore must be helped,” added Professor Vitanov.
“If people continue not to strictly follow the measures against COVID-19, in our country at the end of November the number of infected will reach 79 thousand,” said the mathematician.
He also commented that in China they have already fought the virus with irrevocable quarantine, but in Europe it cannot be implemented.
“A severe winter awaits us. At the moment the situation is quite unpleasant. It was planned and it was clear that it would come,” said Professor Nikolay Vitanov.
