Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked for details about the cleaning lady who won the mayoral elections in a Russian village, RIA Novosti reported.
The story happened during local elections in the country. The vote was won in the town of Povalikhinskoe.
Interestingly, the cleaner didn’t have to be a candidate at all. The incumbent mayor asked him to run.
Actually, there were no other candidates, the law stipulates that the winner must have a competitor. The mayor has asked the woman to come forward so that he can officially win the elections.
The surprise is that the locals supported the candidate. Both were candidates for the country’s ruling party.
Polls show that the teaching profession and the working class have won far more options than the business community.
