Prime Minister Boyko Borissov made a new statement on video live on Facebook from his home, where he remains in quarantine for the coronavirus. In it, he harshly addressed the yellow media, who wrote false things about the measures, recounted how he felt and assured Bulgarians that in the spring he will lift the country after the crisis.
This is what Borisov said:
“I want to congratulate these fake sites with voodoo spells and fabrications – how not ashamed, well, how not ashamed! The state will not close, on the contrary, now as a leader I feel more secure, I know what the first week is, what the second is, when it is difficult. I know that the healthy should work, the infected should be quarantined, the sick should be treated immediately.
That is why we strengthened hospitals, police, firefighters, everything … At first we closed because we did not know what it was and yes, it took effect … Now we know what it is, I know that self-discipline, taking care of the other person, of ourselves , only that saves us. The state will not stop, the psyche of the people must be stable, scary and unpleasant, no discussion. But is it bearable? It is bearable! We can be together? We can! If we have everything insured, no one will be left hungry. Vaccines begin to come out. February, March, April will face the state …
Don’t be fooled by liars, they are that was the goal: a coup, not a parliament, systems cannot be financed, the state collapses. And then say: “Boyko is to blame for this, now we will make a presidential state and go elsewhere” … It will not happen!
Day 12 (from the 14 day quarantine), I hope to be with you soon. I am strong, I feel confident enough to convince people to get over the virus. I trust my heroes: the doctors, the nurses – protocols change, some antibiotics work, others don’t, they change. You understand more, help each one … and may God be with us!

“We are successfully managing the pandemic and our opponents they are very angry. They were preparing a coup for us. The poisonous fake news sites were particularly active. To this day, they continue to lie on my behalf. These people are not ashamed. Fortunately, the citizens did not believe them. Because his plan was simple: no parliament, no budget, no funding for measures. Then the state would go bankrupt and the fault would be ours. Without a National Assembly and a government, the only power would be in the president. They did not succeed. We remain the leading political force and we will justify the trust of the people. They expect work from us, and we are the best at it. Our battle against the virus continues. We can overcome it. If we follow the measures and are responsible, we will succeed. “
