What are the commitments of the employer whose employee has an established coronavirus?

If an employee of a company has a proven coronavirus, they need:

Prepare a list of first-line contacts of the infected person

Provide personal protective equipment (masks and gloves) and disinfectants for staff.

Disinfectants should be placed in key places in the building

Perform basic morning and periodic disinfection in short intervals of door handles, railings, electric keys, dispensers, bathrooms, sinks, interior and exterior of the elevator.

Provide temperature control with a non-contact thermometer to employees when they arrive to work. An employee with a fever is not allowed into the office

Keep a social distance of at least 1.5m between people.

Whenever possible, provide the employee with remote work from home.

Introduce the control of customer visits and, if possible, the provision of electronic services.

Collect used personal protective equipment in a plastic waste bag and dispose of it promptly in your household waste container.

Who notifies RHI?

The data of each person with a positive result in the PCR test is sent to the RHI by the respective laboratory where the test was performed. On this basis, experts from the sanitary inspection contact each infected person to carry out an epidemiological study and determine the first-line contacts, as well as their personal doctor. The subject and his employer have no obligation to notify RHI.

What are the actions with respect to other employees in contact with the person identified with COVID?

Any contact from a colleague with a proven coronavirus must be quarantined for 10 days from the last contact with him. This applies to people who have spent more than 30 minutes in the same room with him before the positive result.
