The first results of the US presidential elections have appeared.

Republican presidential candidate and current leader Donald Trump is expected to lead the presidential election in Indiana, garnering 72% of the vote after counting some of the ballots, Fox News reports.

Indiana has 11 votes on the electoral board (the presidential candidate needs 270 votes to win). For the last half century, the state has voted for Republican presidential candidates, except for 2008. In 2016, Trump received 56.47% in Indiana, while Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton received 37.46%.

Donald Trump is leading the presidential election in New Hampshire, based on early census results. According to the first vote count, Trump is 16 and Biden 10.

Also in the state of Kentucky, Trump has so far about 10,000 votes to Biden’s 2.8 thousand.

The first polling stations in the eastern United States in Indiana and Kentucky closed at 01:00 Bulgarian time.

At 2 a.m. Bulgarian time, polling stations in seven states, including Florida and Georgia, which are important for election results, will be closed simultaneously. Virginia, South Carolina, Vermont and other parts of Kentucky and Indiana will also be closed.

The polls in Ohio, North Carolina and West Virginia will be closed at 2.30 am Bulgarian time. At 3:00 Bulgarian time, the sections in 15 states and the District of Columbia will close simultaneously.
