BNT journalists support their colleagues who made a scandalous report

[ad_1]

We, the journalists of the News and Current Affairs Directorate, declare our support for the team of authors of the report “A Night with an Ambulance,” said BNT.

Our colleagues are proven professionals and have observed all the ethical standards and principles of journalism in their reporting. Doctors who became part of the material were anonymous.

Regarding the complaints on Facebook about a criminal recording and the breach of a basic rule in journalism, BNT states that in the first report on the subject we did not indicate the name of the person who is heard in the recording.

Dr. Pancho Panchev himself admitted that his voice had been recorded. His position and the position of director of the Fourth City Hospital have been requested many times.

There is no reason for BNT to be accused of manipulation and biased attacks against the hospital and its doctors.

We strongly oppose attempts to defame our journalists, who objectively and impartially showed the information and the real image on the day of the events reflected in the report.

We would like to point out that BNT is ready to take all actions against people who undermine the authority and damage the good name of public television.

We appreciate the daily efforts in the battle on the front lines with COVID-19 and we fully support the Bulgarian doctors and health workers.
