Austrian MMA fighters Mikail Eosen and Recep Gultekin proved to be true heroes amid the terrorist attack in Vienna tonight. The two went for a walk on the last day before the country’s closure as a measure to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In one of the subway stations, they saw one of the terrorists shoot a policeman. They ran amid the bullets and chased the shooter away. They then helped the uniformed officer into an ambulance. In addition, Eosen and Gultekin helped a retired woman not to find herself at the scene of the bloody attacks.

“An elderly woman was walking towards the accident site. We saw her and immediately prevented her from moving forward, after which we took her to safety,” Eosen told the media.

He clarified that together with Recep, they initially considered filming as part of the film’s photos. They realized that everything was really happening when one of the bullets scratched Gultekin. They went to the nearby police station to report the incident.

Mikail Ezen is an Austrian citizen of Turkish origin. In professional MMA fights there is a balance of five wins and three losses. According to his Instagram account, he became the champion of the Turkish MMA Federation in 2015. He also works as a personal trainer in fitness and martial arts. Recep Gultekin, who is also of Turkish descent, is in the MMA lightweight category, but there is no information on his competitive bottom line in the Octagon.

As is known, last night there were terrorist shootings in various places in Vienna. There are two dead. At least several policemen were injured. Fifteen people were reportedly hospitalized, some seriously injured. The attackers are believed to number at least four.
