In one of his last public appearances, Cena presented the revised second edition of the book “Visions of Zlatyu Boyadzhiev” by Dimitar Pampulov. The first is from eight years ago and was written on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the artist’s birth.
Tsena Boyadzhieva is the third generation of the Plovdiv Boyadzhievi art family. His grandfather is the famous Bulgarian artist Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, and his father is Georgi Boyadzhiev-Boyadzhana, one of the Big Five of the Plovdiv group of artists, along with Georgi Bozhilov-Slona, Dimitar Kirov – Di Kiro, Encho Pironkov, Ioan Leviev and Hristo Stefanov.
Tsena Boyadzhieva is the creator, gallery owner and curator of one of the most visited art spaces in Sofia: the Sofia Gallery “Bulgaria”, located in the concert complex of the same name, home to the musical ensembles of the Philharmonic of Sofia.
