A passenger was beaten and assaulted because she was not wearing a mask on the plane. Shortly after landing in Puerto Rico from New Jersey, the woman was attacked. The man who filmed the scandal is called Carlos Peredes. He told CBS reporter David Begnaud that the entire conflict started after the passenger refused to wear a mask during the flight.

A Puerto Rican police officer is adamant: she was provoked after aggressive and arrogant behavior.

The other passengers claimed otherwise: the woman and the people she was with refused to wear masks and her behavior was contrary to safety rules during the flight.

However, the flight attendants called the police for the group to be reprimanded before the collision, which ended in beatings and assaults.

However, a passenger named Alfredo said that three men started hurling racist insults at the group of women before one of them hit the woman.
