Only at the age of 15 did he release his first song, Perfect, which quickly became a hit in our air. At 17, he already has five singles behind him, a Debut of the Year award and a nomination for performer of the year at the BG Radio Awards. And although he has been involved in music since he was a child, he came to the first song by chance. He posts his short videos on social media, in which he sings and plays the guitar. At first, only their friends look at them, but little by little they reach more and more people. And one day her mother Sanya Armutlieva called her to tell her that a Romanian producer had seen her and was very impressed. This led to the first song they created in Romania. Apart from her mother Sanya Armutlieva, who is the head of Virginia Records, her father also works in the music business. Tim Doodle has been on the team of global promoter Life Nation for many years. A few years ago he went to do his PhD in Berlin and Alma moved in with him to study there. After that, however, the young singer continued her education in England, where her older sister Margarita lives. Sanya, on the other hand, cannot move to Berlin permanently due to her music company, and the whole family often has to travel to Europe to see each other.

A few days ago, Alma released her latest song, My Mama Told Me, which talks about the rebellion of youth and the mistakes young people make in the search for their identity. The talented singer made the song together with Pavel Nikolov, and the video was shot in an empty school.

Love at first sight

I remember when I was 12, my mother and I went shopping at a hypermarket. Near the entrance we saw a lot of huge teddy bears. I liked them so much that I asked my mother to buy me one. She didn’t take me seriously and left with a quick comment that this was the last thing she needed. I caught up with her and asked her again, and she, laughing, came back, took a raccoon and threw it in the cart. Then in the car we don’t stop laughing at how I can fall in love at first sight with a teddy bear… To this day I’m in love with her, she has a name – Raccoons. Home is always by my head when I sleep, and we often wake up hugging. It’s as big as a pillow and so soft …

Piano

The piano appeared at home when I was little. At first I was bored from having lessons every week, but at one point the piano became my escape. Now in school, whenever I can, I go to the music department and lock myself in one of the rooms with a piano to play and keep myself in a good mood.

Telephone

The phone is a favorite subject because I listen to music through it every day and I can’t do without music. With a phone I started to record little videos in which I play the guitar and sing my favorite songs. Because of these videos, they started to notice me and music became an even more important part of my life. The telephone is also such an important connection with my loved ones, because I have been alone in England for a year and a half.

White stuffed rabbit

at 15 years old

I remember really wanting a white rabbit for Christmas. Sanya told me the story of how, literally at the last minute, on Christmas Eve, she ran through the children’s toy stores, looking for a white rabbit that looked real, and found it nowhere. He stopped looking for a white rabbit. On the way home, however, he decided to walk into a children’s store literally across the boulevard from which we live. And there I was waiting for her, my favorite white rabbit, almost like a real one. So I got Rabbit (rabbit means English rabbit). My father and I played a game while he was asleep, which one of us Rabbits loves the most. This is how we laugh when we think about it.

My first

image

4 years ago I tried to paint with acrylic paints for the first time. We have family friends, the woman is an artist and poet and she gave me a whole set. I keep this first photo and love it very much. Since then I have not stopped experimenting with painting and expressing myself through it.

Baby blanket – light blue

This is the blanket I was wrapped in as a baby, so light blue and soft. The blanket first belonged to my sister, they bought it for her, but it seemed to be waiting for me, because since I can remember I carry it with me wherever I go. It is a comfort, a feeling of “home”, and when I go to an unfamiliar place, it becomes better and more familiar when I remove the blue blanket.

Daddy’s guitar

When we were little, my father used to sit in front of the doors of our adjoining rooms every night, and it was on this guitar that he played soft melodies to put us to sleep. This is one of my most beautiful childhood memories. Then he gave me the guitar because I wanted to learn to play and I went to class. With the guitar I discovered how to make my own versions of favorite songs, I started recording them and uploading them to Instagram, but most importantly, I learned how to create my own songs with it.
