For a French-style attack in Russia, Gazeta.ru reported.
A 16-year-old resident of the city of Kukmor (in the central autonomous republic of Tatarstan) attacked a local police station last night. The teenager shouted in Russian: “The infidels will die!” and in Arabic: “Allahu akbar!” (“Allah is great!”). He then threw a bottle of Molotov cocktail into the building.
Law enforcement officers on duty came out to douse the flames. One of them was attacked with a knife and received three blows. A colleague of the victim opened fire on the young man and shot him.
The attacker died from his injuries.
“We believe that the attack on Cookmore was inspired by yesterday’s attack in Nice, in which a 21-year-old man killed three people,” said a representative of the Investigation Committee in Moscow. He also said that the 16-year-old terrorist was sympathetic to radical Islam.
The media added that the teenager’s name was Vitaly Antipov. “He did not study or work,” Gazeta.ru added.
