Rumen Todoranov, president of the Pavlikeni Regional Farmers Union and a member of the National Association of Cereal Producers, was found dead with a gunshot wound at his father’s house in the village of Polikraishte in Tarnovo.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened at the home where forensic examinations continue. The police are working on all versions, including suicide.
In the morning, Rumen Todoranov went to work and, as usual, distributed the tasks to his employees. Then he went to his hometown. According to the townspeople, he behaved normally and nothing foreshadowed the tragedy, reported the sites of Tarnovo Yantra Dnes and Borba.
According to unofficial information, the farmer he had no financial problems.
It handles 11,500 decars, planted mainly with wheat, barley, rapeseed, sunflower and corn. The land he cultivates is mainly in the Gornooryahovska and Tarnovo regions, in the villages of Hotnitsa, Rusalya, Momin Sbor, in Polikraishte, Krusheto, Parvomaytsi and Yantra. Todoranov also develops organic production: apples and prunes in an area of 72 decares.
Rumen Todoranov is married and the father of three daughters.
