Bernard Tekpetei took the first shot off one of the two gates, but his shot was blocked. The entire team of the “eagles” went ahead a lot after this attack and in the counterattack the hosts found the result. Cicinho covered the ambush and Hussein Balic made an excellent shot with his right foot and left no chances for Plamen Iliev. After 11 minutes, LASK landed a free kick, but Gruber’s shot hit the wall and the ball continued into the penalty area for Mihorl. He shot hard with his left foot, but Iliev took a corner. On the next corner kick, LASK doubled the score. The corner kick was played perfectly after the ball was centered on the ground towards the goal of the penalty area. Two Austrian players jumped the ball, and Andreas Gruber with his left foot beat Iliev – 2: 0.
However, after a quarter of an hour of play, Ludogorets made his first more stable attack and returned a goal. Elvis Manu came out wonderfully behind LASK’s defense after a pass from Alex Santana and “toe-to-toe” against LASK goalkeeper Schlager didn’t make a mistake – 1: 2.
