A Dalgopol hacker, who managed to withdraw nearly € 50,000 by stealing credit and debit card data in Germany, led an undercover ascetic life in Sunny Beach, Flagman.BG reported.
The 41-year-old Bulgarian was arrested yesterday morning. The arrest was made possible thanks to the professionalism of the police officers of the General Directorate of the National Police, the Search Sector of the Criminal Police Department of ODMI-Burgas and the Regional Office in Nessebar.
The man received a European arrest warrant and was extradited by a court in the German city of Bamberg, which is known in Western Europe for being visited mainly by tourist pilgrims. These citizens were victims of our people. He managed to drain the amount of 49,825 euros through illegal transactions with credit cards.
Following the arrival of data on the Bulgarians wanted by Germany, in all the Regional Police Departments of the country, in Sunny Beach it turned out that there are criminal police with specific professional experience. According to the photo, the wanted person was recognized, after which he was followed by video surveillance at the complex.
His capture took place today after special services noticed that one of the one-bedroom residents at the resort did not intend to vacate his apartment during the fall-winter period. He settled into an ordinary room at the beginning of the season after landing a job in a grocery store as a pastry chef, supplying the store with groceries from warehouses every morning. He behaved more than imperceptibly. He did not abuse alcohol, he had no girlfriend, he was single.
The man was aware that they wanted him and thought that during the summer season, due to the presence of many people in the complex, he would remain incognito. Then he calmed down and decided that he could spend the winter in the bedroom.
Today, the police broke his handcuffs while leaving his apartment. The hacker was transferred to the Fifth Regional Hospital in Burgas, where he will be detained for some time. Extradition proceedings are pending in Bamberg. Tourists from the Federal Republic can relax.
