Chelsea’s team defeated Krasnodar with 4: 0 in an early clash of the Champions League group stage. Despite the devastating result, the “blues” definitely did not play their best game. In the 14th minute Giorgino missed a penalty after the ball hit the crossbar, but in the 37th “blue” opened with a goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi. In the second half, Timo Werner hit from the penalty spot and formed the classic result of Chelsea, and at the end of the match Christian Pulisic put an end to the dispute.
The owner of the Londoners, Roman Abramovich, had taken his place in the stands of the stadium. This was the first game of the “blues” in a year and a half, which the Russian oligarch saw live.

The hosts started strong and were able to find the result in the 4th minute. Danil Utkin found a space on the edge of the penalty area and hit Edward Mendy’s door, but the new addition to the “blues” managed and caught.
Chelsea responded with a powerful shot from Hakim Ziesh, who managed to fool the opposing defense, but his shot did not hinder Matvey Safonov.
In minute 14 Timo Werner was knocked to the ground by his opponent and the referee whistled for a foul. However, Jorgeninho missed from the penalty spot after his shot rocked the left post.
A little later, Utkin slipped into the penalty area after contact with a defender, but the referee ignored the situation and play continued.
Finally, in the 37th minute, Chelsea opened the scoring through Callum Hudson-Odoi. The English talent mastered a good pass and found space on the edge of the penalty area, and with a cunning shot he passed the Russian point guard and sent the ball to his goal. After an examination with the VAR for suspicions of an ambush, the goal was still counted and the “blues” went ahead with 1: 0.
Callum Hudson Odoi, great goal.
Good luck, but it’s still a good goal.

The start of the second half made us witness a real drama in the Chelsea penalty area. First, a powerful shot from Yuri Gazinski shook Mendy’s crossbar, and after a total uproar followed a blow from Martinovic, but the “blues” goalkeeper distinguished himself with a brilliant intervention and saved his door.
Krasnodar’s pressure was maintained and after an hour of play Evgeniy Gernov made a volley, but fortunately for the guests it was inaccurate.
Chelsea woke up and in the 66th minute Hakim Ziesh cleared space and fired a quick but very light shot in the middle of the goal, which was easily caught by Matvey Safonov.
In the 75th minute, Christian Pulisic, who came in from the bench, kicked the ball towards the gate, but hit Martinovic’s hand, leading to a second penalty for Chelsea in the match. This time behind the ball was Timo Werner, who was uncompromising and went up to 2: 0 for the “blues.”

Krasnodar seemed to refuse to chase even an honorable goal and ten minutes before the end Hakim Ziesh formed Chelsea’s classic result in his first start game. The Dutchman intercepted a good pass in the penalty area and kicked the ball into the lower right corner of Safonov, scoring his debut goal.
