The Ministry of Finance responded to criticism from President Rumen Radev in relation to the preliminary draft Law on State Budgets of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2021.
Hours earlier, the head of state said that the government was proposing “a devastating budget and enormous spending without goals, without a plan, without clear procedures, without justification of the results of those expenses.
The finance department showed a letter from the presidential administration, in which there are no comments. The document was signed by the president’s secretary general, Dimitar Stoyanov, who is also his right hand man.
Regarding the critical assessments of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, for the bill proposed by the Ministry of Finance on the State budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2021 and the updated Medium-term Budget Forecast for the period 2021-2023, which represent the reasons for this, We would like to inform you that the Presidential Administration coordinates the documents in accordance with Art. 32 of the Regulations of the Council of Ministers and its administration without sending notes, says the position of the Ministry of Finance.
