Traders in Sofia markets must wear a mask or helmet, and managers must organize to observe a distance of 1.5 meters between visitors. This follows from a new order from the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova.

People with manifestations of acute respiratory diseases (fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell, alteration or loss of taste, etc.) will not be allowed in the markets, the rules for sellers also establish it. Directors are required to instruct staff on proper hand hygiene, as well as to provide the necessary water, soaps, and disinfectants.

In addition to the conditions of distance between buyers, a market entry control must be created in terms of the number of participants to avoid crowds.

The directors of the markets must report to the Deputy Mayor for Finance Doncho Barbalov every month about the implementation of the precautionary measures.
