In the last days of the month we look forward to all the nuances of autumn.
The last week of October will offer dynamic fall weather in all shades: sun, fog and rain. After the rain during the weekend of Monday, the day will be with low clouds or fog in some regions of western and central Bulgaria. In the early hours, the cold front will continue to determine cloudy weather in eastern Bulgaria with precipitation in the northeast. The rest of the country will be sunny with temperatures between 16 and 21 degrees in the afternoon.
In the mountains, Monday will be sunny and calm. Temperatures in the hottest part of the day will be around 5 degrees in the highlands and 12-13 degrees in the lows.
On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings there will be fog in many places in the lowlands, along the reservoirs, in the valleys and the lowlands, especially along the Danube and in southeastern Bulgaria. However, afternoon temperatures will be around and in places above 20 degrees.
On Thursday and Friday, the Balkans will fall into the zone of influence of another Mediterranean cyclone, whose center will pass over Greece. In our country the rains will be more irrigating in the southern half of the country. The weather will be cool on Saturdays and Sundays. Precipitation will be more limited, but temperatures will drop significantly to the 0-5 degree range in the morning and around 3pm in the afternoon.
In the last 2-3 days, the air in many parts of the country has increased dust levels. In the early hours of Monday, the concentration of fine dust particles in Sofia, Vidin, Pleven, Ruse, Varna and Blagoevgrad is above the norm. In Sofia, the most significant contamination is in the Hristo Botev district. Meteorological causes of pollution: transport of desert dust from Africa, absence of wind and fog.
